Ghostly Whispers Echo At Minnesota’s Dead Man’s Trail
There's a place in Minnesota that some believe is actually haunted. It's called Dead Man's Trail. People who dare to walk the woods at night report hearing eerie noises, along with distant screams. Sometimes people report hearing someone crying in the woods.
It's arguably the most haunted place in Minnesota. Dead Man's Trail is a section of the Greenwood Trail in Thief River Falls. The legend is that a ghost of a Native American woman can be seen in the woods. It's said that she's looking for her baby, who was swept away by the nearby river.
There are also other encounters with spirits that have been allegedly witnessed near the Red Lake River, which runs through Thief River Falls.
One fisherman described hearing voices a few feet from him and an eerie feeling. He also had a fishing rod leaning on his bench that kept falling to the ground, like someone was knocking it over.
Besides the crying mother ghost, others have said they've seen Native American spirits along the Red Lake River, which stretches to the east to Upper and Lower Red Lake and the reservation.
