Famous Television Star Rocks Minnesota Merch

Is a famous television actress trying to tell the world something? Probably not but that's how I took it!

Law & Order: SVU is my very favorite show in the world, so naturally I follow the show's biggest star: Mariska Hargitay. (I am on the least season, which is a touchy subject for me becuase I am not ready for it to be over.)

I was excited when I saw a post she made on Easter! She happily poses with the Easter bunny, rocking an Easter-yellow shirt and big, white sunglasses.

Then I looked closer: the shirt is from Minnesota! It looks like one of those shirts you get at a tourist stop when you are on a road trip in a different state.

The star gave another shoutout to the Land Of 10,000 Lakes in her caption, hashtagging #minnesotaincalifornia after she sent sent well Easter wishes to her millions of followers.

This means she put more thought into her shirt than just thinking it was cute! What does this mean? Was she in Minnesota? Does she want to visit Minnesota? Maybe it means she was just wearing a Minnesota shirt while visiting California. Sigh.

Mariska Hargitay Ditches Minnesota Shirt Later In The Day

I am just glad we are on her radar here in the midwest - maybe that means she'll come to visit one day if she hasn't already. It was fun to see her randomly rocking a Minnesota shirt with seemingly no ties to our neck of the woods.

The shirt might have been a gift, because in another post later in the day, she takes a selfie with the Easter Bunny and is wearing a simple, white shirt.

Minnesota has been part of a handful of plot lines on the long-running NBC drama so maybe she simply wants to see the state for herself. Maybe it's research for the show while she waits to film the new season.

Her costar, Chris Meloni, was once invited to a Law & Order: SVU themed wedding in Minnesota. He didn't seem to into it, but I love that the bride shot her shot with it. Maybe I will do the same with my wedding later this year.
