Another round of nasty weather is bombarding Minnesota as if we haven't had enough of this already for one season. The Minnesota Twins season started just a few days ago and they are off to a great start. They started off by sweeping the Kansas City Royals and taking game one of their Marlins series on Monday.

Fans have been eager for the home opener and festivities that were scheduled to take place this Thursday, April 6th, 2023. However, because of this recent batch of heavy winds, rain, snow, and colder temperatures, they have decided to postpone the game to a later date.

The National Weather Service Twin Cities office has called for rain, thunderstorms, ice, and snow. Just about everything is possible with this storm.

Thursday's temperatures are only supposed to reach just about freezing. Friday looks much better though, and the Twins organization has made the smart decision to delay the game until Friday, April 7th. The forecast for Friday in Minneapolis is sunny with a high near 50 degrees.

4 years ago on this day, the Twins had to shovel out the stadium ahead of the home opener. You can relive that memory below.

The Twins will host the Houston Astros with the first pitch being at 3:10 pm. The home opener festivities will now take place Friday morning beginning with the Breakfast On The Plaza starting at 6 am.

Gates open at 1 pm, and tickets for the game start at only $15. Fans will also get a look at the Twin's new uniforms. There also will be static displays and other features for the opener.

Can you imagine how nice 50 degrees is going to feel after all of this? Hang on, we're almost to spring. I promise.
