A sign that spring is near? It could be, as long as you don't look too far out into the forecast, especially the weekend forecast for Duluth.

It is no secret that Monday (March 10th) was one of the most beautiful days of the year so far, it not the most beautiful.

In fact, it was so glorious, that we broke weather records all over the Northland, including in Duluth and Hibbing.

The National Weather Service of Duluth shared details on their social media pages late in the day, detailing just how warm it really was in our neck of the woods.

Duluth & Hibbing Break Records

On Monday, Duluth reached 62 degrees, breaking the previous record set in 2015. The previous record was 58 degrees. It was definitely a warm day for this time of the year!

Hibbing also fared pretty well, reaching a record high of 62 degrees. This tied the previous record set in 2012. For a second, it really felt like spring was here and here to stay.

Now For The Bad News...

This weather isn't going to last long. Local meteorologists have their eye on this weekend, gaining confidence in a potential winter storm at the end of the week into the end of the weekend. Sigh.
