Members of the public that use the Duluth Skywalk System to get around the downtown area will have to navigate elsewhere Wednesday night.

In a message to members of the downtown community this afternoon, the organization Downtown Duluth shared news Wednesday afternoon that the city's skywalk system would be closed at 7 pm Wednesday evening due to the winter storm expected to impact the area overnight and into Thursday. This is similar to the action taken during the snowstorm in December.

While the heaviest snow in the Twin Ports area is expected late overnight and into Thursday, the skywalk system is expected to open at its normal time on Thursday morning.
