A Famous Chocolate Shop Is Opening Its First MN Store
Minnesota is already a pretty sweet place, and it's about to get even sweeter. A new luxury chocolate shop is preparing to open its first-ever location in the state.
Premium Swiss chocolatier Läderach, founded in 1962, is Switzerland’s largest chocolate retailer, with over 200 boutiques across 21 countries. Now, they’re making their Minnesota debut.

Läderach Bringing Swiss Sweets to Mall of America
Whether you’re a fan or new to the brand, you’ll soon be able to sample their famous FrischSchoggi (Swiss German for “fresh chocolate”), as well as truffles, pralines, and other handcrafted treats. They'll also offer seasonal treats, for holidays like Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day.

While no official opening date has been announced, the new boutique will be located on Level 1 West of the Mall of America, near DSW Shoes, lululemon, and the Apple Store.
Ashley Hofmann, Leasing Director at Mall of America, said landing this premium brand is a huge win and showcases the mall’s ongoing commitment to bringing first-to-market experiences to shoppers.
First in Minnesota, First in the Midwest
Läderach currently has around 20 U.S. locations, mostly in California and Florida. This will be the first in Minnesota, and the entire Midwest.
“We are thrilled to introduce our premium Swiss chocolate to the iconic Mall of America,” said Warren Dunkelberger, President of Läderach North America. “This new store reflects our growing customer base and our confidence in the North American market.”
