Popular Minnesota Store Reopens After Being Closed Since June
Near the end of June, a popular Minnesota store abruptly closed, leaving many customers wondering when it would return. With little fanfare, the store reopened this week to the delight of fans of the store.
As we get into the Halloween and Christmas seasons, this store is a go-to place for decorations and supplies for crafters and DIYers, so having the doors open again is a big win for that crowd.

Why Did The Store Close?
The roof of the store sustained damage in the winter of 2022-2023, the same record-breaking season when Duluth saw 140.1 inches of snow, leading to roof damage at the Miller Hill Mall as well. The repairs are now completed, and the changes are noticeable inside the store.
Curiosity Paid Off
While driving by the store yesterday, I saw that the big red "Store Temporarily Closed" sign was no longer up. Curious, I pulled in and noticed someone leaving with a cart of Halloween decorations, confirming they had reopened.
I parked and headed inside to check it out. It was great to see the store back to its pre-roof-collapse state, with the once-boarded-off section fully restored and the whole store open for business.
Welcome Back
Michael's, located in the Stoneridge Shopping Center in Duluth, reopened to customers on August 28th, after closing their doors on June 23rd for the repairs.
Halloween Ready
The store was busy as word was clearly spreading that it was reopened, and of course I didn't walk out empty-handed, and I'll probably go back today to pick up something I regret not getting yesterday. Now is a great time to get that Halloween stuff, but you better hurry before me and Lauren buy it all. Happy Haunting!
