Locally-Owned Duluth Salad Shop Opens In New, Larger Location
A little over a year ago, a soup and salad shop opened in the Lincoln Park Craft District of Duluth, making the most of a small shop on the corner of Superior Street and N 18th Avenue West.
The business, named Ritual Salad, focused primarily on to-go orders because it only had room for a few spaces to sit and eat. After opening in April of 2024, they have now moved to a new, larger location that will offer more space for dining as well as other things the owner wants to offer.
I recently drove by that shop, noticing it was empty, so I had to investigate what happened. As it turned out, Ritual Salad just held an opening event at their brand new Duluth location, found on the other end of Duluth.
They've been teasing on their social media this spring that they were getting ready to open their new location in Duluth's Lakeside neighborhood, with initial hopes of being open by Grandma's Marathon Weekend in the latter half of June.

As tends to happen with getting new businesses ready to open, they hit some snags, sharing in early July, they were hoping to open on July 10. As the owner explained on social media last Wednesday, they had to push back their opening date just a tad bit more.
She highlighted that the difference in moving from a 600-square-foot space to one over 2,000 square feet proved to be a little more work than they had anticipated, despite their best efforts. The good news is that they only had to push back the opening date by one day, officially opening on Friday, July 11 in their new spot.

Now located at 4501 East Superior Street in Duluth, right next to Lakeside Liquors, they have an even bigger space to enjoy their menu of salads and soups, as well as on-brand "witchy" gifts, apothecary goods, and other items.
They also say they plan to offer grab-and-go breakfast options to provide a breakfast option to the Lakeside area.
Ritual Salad's listed hours right now are 11 am - 4 pm Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays for the time being. They plan to be open 7 days a week from 11 am to 7 pm starting in August, through the fall.
