State Patrol Identifies Victim of Fatal Minnesota Car-Construction Truck Crash
Hartland, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol has identified the Minnesota man who died in a head-on crash with a construction truck on a rural highway Thursday morning.

First responders were dispatched to the fatal crash in Freeborn County shortly after 3:30 a.m. The young Hartford man was driving a car.
The updated state crash report identified the killed motorist as 26-year-old Luke Mathew Hershey. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hershey was not buckled up and not under the influence of alcohol, the State Patrol says. His car was traveling north on Hwy. 13 about 15 miles north of Albert Lea when it collided with the southbound construction truck.
Officials have previously identified the driver of the truck as 80-year-old Dwight Craig Kleinschrodt.
The Albert Lea man suffered what the crash report describes as non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in nearby Albert Lea for further care.
Kleinschrodt was buckled up and not under the influence of alcohol, according to the State Patrol.
The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, New Richland Police Department, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, New Richland Fire Department, Hartland Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the deadly crash.
