It is November in the Northland which means anything goes. This doesn't look too bad, however.

The National Weather Service of Duluth shared an eight to fourteen day outlook for the city of Duluth on their Facebook page recently, focusing on the Thanksgiving holiday. Take a sigh of relief: it looks to be pretty quiet!

November can definitely be pretty brutal temperature-wise but it looks like that won't be the case for the remainder of the month, as the National Weather Service of Duluth predicts temperatures to stay around normal in the area with highs in the upper 20s and low 30s. Lows will only dip into the teens.

As for rain, snow and / or both, it looks like we won't see anything out of the ordinary. I definitely took a deep breath reading their predictions as I recall Thanksgiving weekend last year. Ha!

In case you don't remember or would just like to forget, we saw a massive snowstorm over Thanksgiving weekend in 2019. Roads were shut down, including large portions of Interstate 35 between Duluth and the Twin Cities. Winds over 60 mph were recorded in the area. Up to 30 inches of snow buried Duluth and the surrounding areas. There was so much snow with this storm that some residents of Superior, Wisconsin were stuck in their homes for a few days while the city worked to shovel them out. It was truly something you had to see to believe!

The Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting winter to return with a vengeance around Thanksgiving weekend and I am just fine with them being wrong this time around!
