At least six people have lost their lives in crashes on the state’s roads since Friday afternoon. Four of the traffic deaths occurred in a span of less than 24 hours.
The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office says its deputies were dispatched to the report of an accident with injuries shortly after 1:10 Friday afternoon.
The State Patrol says a pickup truck was also involved in the fatal collision. First responders were dispatched to the scene shortly before 4:50 Thursday morning.
At least seven people were killed in crashes on the state’s roads between Tuesday and Friday. Three of those traffic deaths happened in southeast Minnesota.
