The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings are donating money to help with pandemic relief efforts.

The Packers are creating a COVID-19 Community Relief Funds totaling $1.5 million. The money will be used in the Brown County and the Milwaukee areas.

"We are facing an unprecedented challenge in our communities," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy in a press release. "We know our nonprofit support agencies will be performing their usual excellent work, but they'll need additional resources as various needs and gaps in coverage develop in the coming weeks and months. The Packers are committed to supporting them now and into the future as we all work together to weather this difficult time."

The Minnesota Vikings say that they will donate $250,000 and The Wilf Family Foundations will match that amount for a total of $500,000.

In a letter to fans, Zygi, Mark, Lenny Wilf & the Wilf Family say, "A significant portion of the resources will be directed to the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities as they determine how to continue their youth and family support during this time of closure for their centers. Specifically, our dollars will go directly toward meal and educations services to more than 1,000 youth during this crisis. Another substantial amount of the donation will be given to the Minnesota Disaster Recovery Fund for Coronavirus and will go toward providing immediate support to residents, small businesses and non-profits impacted by or responding to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation."
