It'll be a short-term closure, but one that will involve a detour.  Officials with the Wisconsin Central Ltd (CN) Railroad are alerting the public to some general maintenance work needed on a railroad bridge to the north-west of the Duluth area.

Specifically, the work will occur on the top of the railroad bridge that crosses over Highway 2 that exists near Munger.  According to details shared by the CN Railroad, the highway will be closed at the railroad bridge, and a signed detour will be in place during the closure.

The highway area will be closed - and detoured - starting Friday, August 5.  For now, the work is expected to be wrapped up by late afternoon on Sunday, August 7.  However, similar to many outdoor maintenance projects, the work and the timeline, are subject to changes due to unforeseen circumstances - like the weather in particular.

Drivers are urged to use caution, slow down, observe and follow the signs.
