The sight of several emergency vehicles around the area of Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge on Thursday evening is due to the report of an unauthorized individual on the bridge, according to our news partners at WDIO.

During the incident, officials had closed the bridge to the public and had asked people to stay away from the area near Lake Avenue and Morse Street, which is the area near Grandma's Restaurant and the Palucci Building, close to the bridge.

Members of both the Duluth Police and Fire Departments reported to the scene, remaining there for about an hour. The were able reopen the bridge around 8:25 pm.

While the bridge was closed to the general public, authorities say that emergency services were still available to residents on Park Point.

We will update this post with more information as it becomes available.
