Here we go with another daring challenge on TikTok and I really feel sorry for anybody who thinks this would be a good idea just to get clicks on their social media. Some of you may have heard of this already, it is called the "Sleepy Chicken" challenge.

I don't know how anybody could actually eat any of this chicken it would be absolutely disgusting, but on top of that, there is a danger to this challenge even if you do not ingest the chicken. So what is this all about?

A number of the videos challenge people to cook chicken soaked in Nyquil. That's right the cold medicine that most of us have to choke down as a last resort when we are sick. Not only would this obviously make the chicken taste disgusting just the actual act of cooking the chicken in Nyquil is dangerous.

According to a Yahoo News Story the U.S. Food and Drug Administration: "NyQuil contains acetaminophen, dextromethorphan, and doxylamine, like other similar over-the-counter cough and cold medication. Boiling medicine can make it much more concentrated and change its properties in other ways. Even if you don't eat the chicken, inhaling the medication's vapors while cooking could cause high levels of the drugs to enter your body. It could also hurt your lungs."

Tons of people are taking to Twitter to put in their two cents about this ridiculous challenge. Unfortunately, this is just another example of crazy ideas that people come up with in order to get views and likes on TikTok and other social media sites. Thankfully Tik Tok has removed any video regarding this challenge. Parents and guardians this is why you need to be vigilant about paying attention to what your kids are doing online and if you hear of some of these challenges it is important to talk to your kids about them.
