COLUMBUS, Ohio -- AP -- One of the longest days in golf just got a little longer. Rickie Fowler is among 685 players at nine qualifying sites trying to earn a spot in the U.S. Open. He faced a tough road in the largest 36-hole qualifier after a bad start. Fowler's qualifier featured a three-hour delay because of heavy rain and storms.

That means it won't finish until Tuesday morning. Among those who have already made it through are Branden Grace. He finished fourth at the Memorial, flew home to Florida and got one of six spots on his home course at The Bear's Club.
