Glensheen Features Cider Saturdays Every Weekend In September
Every Saturday in September, the historic Glensheen Mansion will talk about and highlight cideries local to the Duluth area. Duluth Cider and Wild State will be the two featured and ciders from them and other beverages will be available for purchase.
Apparently Chester Congdon was a huge fan of apples, so that makes Glensheen a good place to feature some delicious cider. If you don't want to take the full mansion tour and just want access for the cider events, you can purchase a $5 Grounds Admission ticket as a non-tour guest. Also, guests that are 15 years old and under will get onto the grounds free with the $5 Adult Grounds Admission ticket.
Not only does the Grounds Admission get you access to the cider events, there is plenty to learn about Glensheen exploring outside of the mansion. So it's a pretty inexpensive way to enjoy the beautiful location on Lake Superior. The Cider Saturday events are sine only, so if it's raining, it's not on for that day. Hours for the featured cider will be Noon-5:00PM otherwise. Please note that only service animals are allowed on the estate, you can feel free to have a picnic though and even get food delivered there. Glensheen is following guidance and safety protocols issued by the state. You can get more information on this and other Glensheen events HERE.
