Return Of The Beast In The 1980s

Years later, in the 1980s, the sightings happened again. This time, several people reported the Beast of Bray Road making contact with their vehicles, leaving long scratch marks. One woman driving on Bray Road thought she ran over something, and when she got out to check, she saw a large wolf-like creature with red eyes. She got back into the vehicle and fled, but the creature chased her down and left claw marks on her rear passenger door.

While most of the sightings happen at night, it's also been seen in daylight. Witnesses have reported seeing the creature run through cornfields.

Featured In Local Reporter's Book

In the 1980s, a local reporter covered the sightings. Linda Godfrey with the Walworth County Week was a skeptic, but after investigating and interviewing witnesses, she became convinced the witnesses weren't lying. Her articles later became the book "The Beast of Bray Road: Tailing Wisconsin's Werewolf.
