Wisconsin Is Home To One Of The Scariest Haunted Roads In America

Have you ever been driving at night and felt that spooky feeling? It's dark out, late at night, you're alone on a two-lane highway in the woods, and you just get creeped out. Maybe you see a shadow in the ditch, or something catches the corner of your eye. It might not be in your head because there are some very scary haunted roads in the U.S., and Wisconsin has one of the scariest.

Boy Scout Lane Road - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

The road is located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. It's called Boy Scout Lane Road, and there are multiple ghost stories surrounding the fate of an entire Boy Scout Troop. One of the legends is that the scoutmaster killed all of them. Another is that they were killed in a bus accident.

It's said that you can hear the ghosts of the scouts hiking through the underbrush near the road. At night, you can see their flashlights in the woods as they try to find help. There are also reports of child-sized handprint marks on vehicles that have traveled through it.

The road became a popular destination for ghost hunters, but now the road is located on private land and is inaccessible.

Bloody Bride Bridge - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

However, nearby is another haunted stretch of road. It's called the Bloody Bride Bridge, and it's near downtown Stevens Point on County Road 66. The legend goes that a bride died in a car crash at the bridge on the way to her own wedding. Ghost stories of seeing the bride on the bridge have been told over the years. Some people say they've seen her in the backseat of their car briefly after driving over the bridge.
