The DECC has a packed calendar for September and it just got even better with the announcement of a brand new event! The one-night-only event is for those that want to bid adieu to the last cruise ship of the season.

If you want to wave goodbye to the last cruise ship leaving Duluth for the season, you can attend for free. The Sailaway Social takes place on Tuesday, September 12th. It kicks off at 6 p.m. and continues until 8:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be a bar with drinks for purchase, concessions and of course, the best view in all of Minnesota. It might even inspire you to take a cruise of your own in the future. Take part in the fun on Harbor Side Drive behind the DECC.

The event is put on by the DECC in conjunction with the city and the Duluth Port Authority. You've probably spotted cruise ships driving in and out of town. They are pretty cool to see! There have even been opportunities to greet guests getting off the cruise ships and entering the town we love.

The DECC has a bunch of other fun events coming up in September, including the Petlandia event, which is great for families and pet owners. Comedian ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will also bring his tour to the DECC later in the month as well.
