Minnesotan Joins Dan Aykroyd’s New Hulu Paranormal Series

Just in time for spooky season! I have a new show to add to my long list of television series I need to watch or catch up on. I am way behind!

Now that it is officially September, it is acceptable for you to put all of your Halloween decor out and to start watching all things spooky! I mean, Spirit Halloween has been open for quite awhile now.

Part of the spookiness of the season is not just monsters and ghouls, but also all things paranormal. Now, there's a new paranormal show out on Hulu with a really cool Minnesota connection.

The show is called The Unbelievable: Encounters and is hosted by Dan Aykroyd. The entire first season is out as of Tuesday (September 1st) and there are eight episodes for you to dive into.

Haunted Hotel Owner & Podcaster Part Of New Hulu Series

If you are into all things supernatural, you know of Dave Schrader. In late 2025, he purchased the famous Palmer House in Sauk Centre, a hotel famous for being about as haunted as can be. (I have been there many times and can confirm: this place is ridiculously haunted!)

Dave has starred in several paranormal television shows over the years, and is the host of the popular 'Paranormal 60' podcast. Now, he's adding another television show to his resume.

He shared the exciting news on social media just after the show dropped on the streaming service. He will be in four different episodes: the third, sixth, seventh and eighth, with each focusing on a different spooky story.

How cool! He also stars in The Holzer Files and Paranormal Mysteries. As of now, there isn't an episode featuring the famous hotel he owns but I definitely think that could happen in the future.
