Grab Your Costume: The Superior Nightmare 5K Is Coming Back

The most wonderful time of the year is here - at least if you are a major Halloween lover, it is! Spooky season is upon us and that means so are all the fun events related to the best holiday ever.

The race I look forward to most each year is this one: the Superior Nightmare 5K! It is a spooky-fun Halloween race where you dress up in your best costume and hit the pavement.

It is a great race for beginners or even those that don't run often. The fun of it is wearing your costume and seeing all the other costumes.

There is a costume contest, so you want to make sure you start planning yours out now. Get a great workout in, celebrate the holiday at a family-friendly event and of course, support the great cause that is the Young Athlete's Foundation.

Register Now For The Superior Nightmare 5K

The race will take place this year on Saturday, October 24th. It all goes down at Wessman Arena in Superior. The course takes you down Catlin Avenue, down North 21st Street then down Hammond Avenue and back.

Now through October 14th, you can register online for just $30 bucks. Beginning on the 15th of October through race day, you can register for $40 bucks. The earlier you sign up, the more money you save.

Kids under the age of 18 race free, which is awesome! You can also register the morning of the race starting at 9 a.m. You can park onsite or nearby at Superior High School or Northern Lights Elementary School.

Everyone who takes part in the 5K gets a crewneck sweatshirt, which is included with the entry fee. You will also have the option to purchase commemorative socks for $7 bucks. It's a great way to get back into the running groove after Grandma's Marathon.
