The Amnicon Bar is a bit south of Superior, Wisconsin. If you've been there, then you know it's just a block away from the Amincon Lake public boat launch. By the way, Amnicon is a great lake for Northern Pike fishing, muskies, and crappies. But if you've only gone fishing and haven't been to this adorable bar, you're missing out.

Wisco Dive Bars raved about the fish fry, menu options, specials, and cozy feel. He visited on a Saturday just after noon, so it wasn't super busy. If you've been there on a Friday or Saturday night (especially in the summer), the place can be packed.

He talks about how it's a bit off the beaten path; in fact, he encountered a black bear with cubs just down the road. (There are a lot of bears in Douglas County!)

They are supposed to have the best deep-fried green beans. The Friday night all-you-can-eat fish fry is one of the best around. The Amnicon Bar is also the local hub for people in the area, and they have live music just about every weekend.
