Music Lineup, Schedule Announced For Duluth Fourth Fest 2024

The annual Independence Day tradition centered around Minnesota's largest fireworks show is ready to make a return to Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park this week!

Just as in years past, a day full of live music performances and family fun, all capped off by a spectacular fireworks show that continues to hold the title of largest in the state is all ready to go for this year's 4th of July week.

Bayfront Festival Park's new management team, Winterfell Management, shared this year's music lineup and provided an update related to an impending inclement weather for this week's festivities.

Duluth Fourth Fest 2024 Schedule & Music Lineup

Just as in years past, this year's Fourth Fest festivities will be a free, family-friendly gathering at Bayfront. Things will get underway at 4:00 pm as gates open to the public. Four different musical acts will perform through the course of the afternoon and evening before the big fireworks show over the harbor.

In addition, food and beverages will be available on the grounds at Bayfront, along with other vendors offering their wares as part of the festivities.

Here's a look at the music lineup and schedule:

4:00 pm - Gates open Come and grab your spot and settle in for the evening! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and get ready to enjoy the live music, grab some concessions, and check out the other vendors.

4:30 pm - Booty and the Hoefish Named "Best Band Name" by the Duluth Reader last year, this act plays throwback hits from the 1990s and 2000s, including anything from Green Day to Backstreet Boys and beyond.

5:50 pm - Slope City This Duluth-area band plays a blend of music that encompasses genres like blues, Americana, and soul-inspired pop.

7:10 pm - Danny Frank & the Smoky Gold This Duluth-based band blends folk, bluegrass, country, classic rock, with soulful lead vocals and rich harmonies.

8:30 pm - Paul Metsa and Friends Born on the Iron Range, Paul Metsa has been branded "The other great folksinger from Minnesota's Mesabi Iron Range" by the Huffington Post. With multiple Minnesota Music Awards, he now lives in the Twin Cities area an regularly plays around the state - including as the headliner at Bayfront for Fourth Fest this year.

10:00 pm - Fireworks! The grand finale to the evening is Minnesota's largest fireworks show, with Bayfront Festival Park being the best spot in the Twin Ports area to watch them from. While you can view the fireworks from the hillside and several places around Duluth and Superior, enjoying them from Bayfront after an evening of free live music is hard to beat.

What about the weather? What if it rains?

There is a chance of some rain on the evening of the Fourth of July, but organizers for Fourth Fest say this year's event will go on rain or shine, unless there are high winds or lightning.
