Matchbox Twenty Announces Minnesota Show As Part Of 30th Anniversary Tour
One of the most broadly appealing rock bands of the late 1990s and early 2000s is celebrating 30 years with a huge tour that is coming to Minnesota for an outdoor show in the summer of 2027.
The wildly successful band Matchbox Twenty released their debut album, 'Yourself or Someone Like You' in 1996, launching a career that includes numerous award nominations and several hit songs.
Growing up in that era, everyone I knew had that album. Heck, even my mom went out and bought it. With bangers like "3AM", "Push", "Long Day", and "Back 2 Good", it really set the tone for their career.
Their subsequent albums were also great, with several top-40 hits like "Unwell", "Bent", and "Bright Lights", it's hard not to imagine this concert as one big, awesome sing-along with Rob Thomas and the rest of the crew.
This Matchbox Twenty tour stop is coming to Mystic Lake Amphitheater in the Twin Cities in July, standing as the third show announced for the venue's second season after opening in 2026.
If you didn't get to a show during the inaugural season at Mystic Lake Amphitheater, I have to say it is pretty phenomenal. The whole venue is well-designed, the sound is awesome, and the overall experience is great. Plus, what's better than live music on a beautiful Minnesota night?
This show, which will also include special guest David Gray, is scheduled for Saturday, July 31. Music is slated to start at 7:30 pm.

Tickets for the show go on sale next week, with some presale events on October 20 through October 22 before tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 23 at 10 am through Ticketmaster.
