Could Jesse Ventura be on the ballot this November as a presidential candidate? According to the Star Tribune On Monday Ventura Tweeted the following: "IF I were going to run for president, the GREEN party would be my first choice. I've endorsed the party and I'm testing the waters." Ventura went on to say " To be clear: I haven't filed anything. I authorized a letter of interest that was sent on my behalf to the Greens and I'm testing the waters for Green Party nomination. I'm an independent. I'm not a Democrat or a Republican because I know they're not the solution."

The Green Party is set to select it's candidate in July. Ventura was elected governor of Minnesota back in 1998 serving one term. I had just moved out of state right before he got elected and initially I thought to myself there is no way this former professional wrestler has a chance, but as we saw anything is possible.

Rumours swirled back in 2016 that Ventura was going to run, but he went on to say he only wanted to debate candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, and that he would not want the White House job. Time will tell of he is serious about running, for now we will have to sit and wait and see if he becomes the Green Party Nominee.
