Mall Of America Opens Museum Of Failure Exhibit

Do you need a little burst of inspiration? Are you feeling a bit down about a recent failure you've had? Well, then you may want to head to the Mall of America.

Yes, shopping can be good for your soul if you're having a bad day but I am not talking about heading there just to shop. They have a brand new exhibit and it is all about failures. In fact, it is all about hundreds of failures.

Yes, this is a real thing and just one of the many creative things that the Mall of America has come up with as of late. Just this year alone, they have had comedians perform shows, like Michael Rapaport just a few months ago!

Over the summer, they also had a dinosaur drive-thru exhibit, which is exactly as it sounds! The Mall of America also announced a new addition back in July: a lobster roll restaurant! This is certainly something unique that we don't see all the time in our landlocked state.

Now, the latest addition to the list? The Museum of Failure. Yes, the Mall of America now has an exhibit focusing on the biggest failures from the past. According to the museum's website, they want to celebrate the fact that everyone makes mistakes. Ha!

The museum will feature "a collection of failed products and services from around the world" and there must be quite a few, as the average time spent in the exhibit is an hour and a half! The museum is open to all ages and kids under five years old can attend for free.

The museum is located on the second floor atrium near the north end of the mall. It is open every single day of the week for now. From Monday through Saturday, the exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Sundays, the exhibit will close at 5:30 p.m. instead.

The museum might give you a good laugh but in all seriousness, the people behind it say they just want to give people some inspiration and to know that everyone fails from time to time, even the most brilliant people!

Get to the event while you can because it is only open for a limited time! The event, which opened in early November, will run through January 5th.

I personally think this would be a lot of fun! I would love to not only see big failures from the past but also foods that didn't quite pan out like they were supposed to. Remember Colgate Beef Lasagna? Apparently that was a thing and thankfully, it never got anywhere. (That sounds disgusting.)

The exhibit is also the "world's largest collection of failure" with well over one-hundred failures featured. See? If you need a little inspiration, it might be worth the trip to Mall of America!
