Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve announced the hiring of Minnesota Lynx great Rebekkah Brunson as an Assistant Coach. The team said the details will not be released.

The day that Rebekkah announced her retirement from the WNBA, she was hired for her new job the team. Her #32 will be hoisted into the rafters at a ceremony to be announced, only the second player for the team to have that done.

Brunson says she loves Minnesota and the Twin Cities and wanted to continue to work and coach here according to the WNBA Minnesota Lynx webpage. MN Timberwolves and Lynx owner Glen Taylor was excited saying he was happy to have one of the winningest players lead the new players and teach them to be champions.
