Minnesota Wild Announce New Northland Audio Home For 2026-2027 Season
Duluth, Minn. (July 20, 2026) – The Minnesota Wild Audio Network and Townsquare Media Duluth today announced a new partnership, making the Northland FAN the new audio home of the Minnesota Wild in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin starting with the 2026-2027 season.
This three-year partnership brings Minnesota Wild game broadcasts and other audio content to the Northland’s premier local sports brand.
"We're excited to welcome Northland FAN to the Minnesota Wild Radio Network this season," said Kevin Falness, Executive Producer of the Minnesota Wild Audio Network. "We're thrilled to align Wild game broadcasts with a station dedicated to Minnesota sports talk in the Northland, giving fans in the Twin Ports, on the North Shore, the Iron Range, and throughout the region access to their favorite professional hockey team all season long."
The news of this new partnership is fresh off the announcement of the Minnesota Wild’s 2026-2027 schedule, giving Northlanders another piece of exciting news for the upcoming hockey season.
“We could not be more thrilled to add the Wild to our lineup of top-tier Minnesota sports content,” commented Nick Stoltman, Brand Manager for the Northland FAN. “The Northland is Hockey Country. Adding Minnesota Wild hockey is a natural extension of our mission to bring Northlanders more of the local and regional sports coverage they want.”
The addition of Wild game broadcasts and other team coverage joins a Northland FAN schedule that already includes highly-rated daily Minnesota sports talk from Wild flagship station KFAN, Minnesota Vikings games and team content, and local sports broadcasts and coverage.

"The Northland continues to show how much they appreciate sports coverage in Northern Minnesota,” said Ken Hayes, Director of Content at Townsquare Media Duluth. “As sports fans listen to the daily lineup on our highly rated Northland FAN on 106.5 FM and 560 AM, they can now keep it right here for Minnesota Wild games and programs.”
The Minnesota Wild’s preseason gets underway on Saturday, September 19, and the regular season begins on Thursday, October 1 with a matchup against the Nashville Predators at 7 pm.
Minnesota Wild games will be heard starting this fall on the Northland FAN’s various audio platforms, including 106.5 FM in the Twin Ports area, 560 AM across the Northland, and on the station’s website northlandfan.com and via the Northland FAN mobile app.
