The Christian Motorcyclists Association Aurora Knights out of Cloquet are hosting a motorcycle awareness event this weekend.  Even with hands-free laws in place, car motorists are often still on their phones and not paying attention to the road.  It's not just the phones, distracted driving continues to be a problem and motorcyclists keep getting hit by careless drivers.  Two motorcyclists were killed in the month of May in the State of Minnesota and 9 have been killed since the start of the year.  While the numbers might not seem high, it's still too many.

You don't have to ride a bike to help raise awareness.  Maybe you appreciate bikes or know someone who rides.  Anyone is invited to attend this event to help out the cause.  There will also be a bike blessing and a brat lunch during the event.  You get a brat, chips, and a beverage for just $4.00.  In addition, there will be a farmer's market close by.

It's on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00AM-1:00PM outside of Premiere Theaters in Cloquet, at 904 Highway 33 S.  Even if you aren't able to stop, if you'll be in the area give them a honk to show support.  Even if you just want an inexpensive lunch option for yourself or the whole family, they will appreciate the support.  Ride your bike out, drive out, walk out, or even bicycle out if you can.
