The FAN 106.5 is excited to welcome the legendary rock act Metallica and their M72 World Tour as it comes to Minnesota this August!

This two-night concert experience will be coming to US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, playing on Friday, August 16, and Sunday, August 18.

Night One (Friday, August 16) will feature supporting acts Pantera and MammothWVH before Metallica hits the stage, and Night Two (Sunday, August 18) will see Five Finger Death Punch & Ice Nine Kills both hitting the stage before Metallica wraps up the weekend.

This special two-night "no-repeat weekend" experience is going to offer something different each night for Metallica fans. Tickets are on sale for both dates:

To celebrate the return of Metallica to Minnesota, we're excited to announce we are launching a contest called "Seek & Destroyed Pixels" to give away a few pairs of tickets to the Sunday performance.

Here's how the contest works:

Each day this week (7/15/24-7/19/24) we will send out an app alert via the Northland FAN mobile app with a different "destroyed" album cover in our "Seek & Destroyed Pixels" contest. If you don't have our app alerts turned on, open our app, tao the menu button in the upper left corner, then tap settings, and "alert settings". If you are viewing this in our app, just tap here to access the alert settings.

Pro tip: If you miss any of the alerts this week, you can view them in our app by tapping here. You can tap and hold any of those alerts to see it in full-screen.

Enter your guess of what album is featured in the day's "destroyed" album artwork, and you'll be entered to win one of our pairs of tickets. Each day you correctly guess and submit in our contest below will count as an entry into our drawing. The more you complete, the better your odds are of winning!

After the week is over, we will be picking three different winners. All three winners will get a pair of tickets to the Sunday 8/18 show featuring Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, and Ice Nine Kills. One of those lucky winners will be upgraded to lower-level tickets closer to the stage!

Metallica Albums Ranked

There are moments of indecision when compiling this list. After all, we really could have had – for the first time ever – a three-way tie for first.
