If you're planning on visiting Canal Park early Thursday morning, be on the lookout for City of Duluth crews out removing snow in the area.

The City of Duluth Snow Maintenance division will be removing accumulated snow throughout Canal Park on Thursday, February 20 from 2:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Make sure to look for posted signs and parking restrictions related to the project so that you don't get a ticket or have your vehicle towed.

I can tell you from experience that those signs aren't there for show.  Years ago, I left my vehicle parked in Canal Park overnight, failing to see the signs that said not to park there due to snow removal taking place the next morning.

Needless to say when I returned the next day to get my vehicle, it was gone.  It had indeed been towed and I ended up spending the day tracking it down to a lot in Woodland where I got to pay a hefty sum to get it back.

Good times.
