News came out yesterday that the Minnesota Vikings were talking with former Denver Bronco's linebacker Todd Davis yesterday. Now, sources say he is signing with the team today.

The Vikings recently announced that their star linebacker Anthony Barr would be out for the rest of the season. Davis will now fill that position. Davis has undergone coronavirus testing beginning earlier this week. Davis previously played for the Broncos from 2015-2019. Part of that time he played with Gary Kubiak in Denver, who now is the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator.

Todd Davis became a free agent this year. As part of the deal, it's reported that the Broncos would get $500,000 offset for his salary. That would also help with Denver's mask fine, according to Mike Klis.

The Vikings have had a rough start to the season with a weak defense already riddled with injuries and health issues. The loss of Anthony Barr further exasperated the issues facing this defense after an 0-2 start. The Vikings also have linebacker Cale Garrett from Missouri trying out for the team to potentially add more depth to the roster.

Todd Davis has 472 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries, an interception and a touchdown in his career. He was a part of the Bronco's Super Bowl 50 championship team.

The Vikings take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. Listen to the pre game broadcast on The Northland Fan 106.5 FM and 560AM.
