It is a long long way from the old Metrodome days as the Minnesota Vikings bask in the beauty and technology that U.S. Bank Stadium has to offer. Built on the site of the old Dome this state of the art facility has become the envy of many teams and fans alike. Since opening in 2016 it has not only been home to the MN Vikings Football team, but also host to many other sporting events and concerts as well.

Now according to Touchdown Wire the Minnesota Vikings have been ranked Number #1 for home field in the entire NFL. Rankings were based on such factors as fan participation as well as architectural design and climate. With that kind of notoriety you would think that the Vikings would be unstoppable at home.

So what exactly is the criteria for this prestigious honor? Mark Lane Of Touchdown Wire Wrote:

The Minnesota Vikings managed to get a venue that mimics having a retractable roof without actually opening it up and exposing the fans and players to the inhospitable Minneapolis weather. The stadium also provides iconic scenes of downtown. The exterior is a bit asymmetrical, but it is nevertheless one of the more visually appealing venues in all of sports.

Hopefully having a full stadium for the season will help the Viking stay on top, as every year they seem to come so close and then they are done. I truly believe they have the talent on their team to win a Superbowl, but the coaches and players alike need to all get in synch and make it happen. If nothing else at least the Vikings are Number #1 in some category.
