I always see sign wars on Facebook, but have never seen them in person before. The Arby's in West Duluth looks like they are roasting the competition with a new saying on their sign.

Before we dive into this start of a sign war, let's start with a little fast food history, shall we?

Arby's current slogan is "we have the meats" and is known for their roast beef and other sandwiches like the Beef 'N Cheddar and the Smokehouse Brisket. The chain was founded in 1964 in Ohio by the Raffel brothers. Originally it was going to be named "Big Tex", but the name was already taken. Instead they went with a name based on their initials (R.B.), however I like to think it's because of roast beef. There are now over 3,300 restaurants world wide.

McDonald's is a fast food giant with the current slogan of "I'm Lovin it" and a nice jingle to go along with it. Founded in 1940 when hamburgers where around 15 cents, they have taken the world by storm. There are currently about 37,000 locations across 120 countries. Now why would Arby's want to take a swing at the burger giant?

Why the feud when Arby's doesn't sell burgers and McDonald's doesn't sell roast beef. My guess is Arby's new limited time sandwich, called the Real Country Style Rib Sandwich. If you're ready for your mouth to water like mine currently is, check out what's on the new limited time menu item. According to their website it's:

Hickory-smoked, low and slow, for over 8 hours in our East Texas smokehouse. Topped with melted Gouda cheese, crispy onions and smoky BBQ sauce.

While I was driving to pick up my daughter at school, I noticed the sign and could not believe it. Could we have a sign war on our hands? Honestly, I hope so. Check out the sign below.
