Why I Chose Now To Refinance My Home

There is obviously a lot of uncertainty in the world right now.  Countries have gone into lock down due to Covid-19 Coronavirus concerns, the stock market in the US has dropped considerably, and people are not spending as much money as they were.

My credit union mentioned that it's a good time with the way rates are to refinance my home.  I only purchased it about a year ago, but they were able to lock me in at a rate of almost 2% less than I was at before.  This might be a good time for others to consider a refinance.  Being stuck at home more might give you the opportunity to get some painting done, or make other home improvements before a refinance appraisal.  Combine that with the lower rates and maybe there is some good that can come out of all of this.
