Following announcements for events like the Duluth Airshow and Bayfront Reggae and World Music Festival, organizers of the South St. Louis County Fair shared Wednesday that they are cancelling this year's fair.

The announcement, shared via Facebook, noted that "due to the global pandemic and the health concerns with large crowds" that this year's fair will be cancelled.

This year's fair, scheduled for July 29-August 1, was set to be the event's 100th anniversary. Organizers thanked vendors, attendees, and supporters through the years, and offered a positive note while looking ahead to next year. In the note, they shared "So for now stay safe. Let's make 2021 So. St. Louis County Fair's 100th Anniversary one we will remember."
