The closer we get to Summer the more excited I get, especially hearing the Duluth Huskies are filling out their team with another signing.

The Duluth Huskies announced on their website they have signed Beau Wimpee. I know, you see the name and chuckle but this boy is ready to play. He is a Rockwall, Texas grad, and according to perfectgame.org he is number 7 rated in the state of Texas for his position as well as a top 50 as a player. He was district MVP and defensive MVP as well.

The Huskies say he transferred his freshman season to Baylor and had to sit out his first year to be on the team. It worked for him because he was rehabing his shoulder so it gave him extra time to heal and when COVID hit the team and stopped the season, Beau completed his healing. Wimpee says he is ready to play and doesn't mind heading North to play.

According to Duluth Huskies' information, Wimpee played a little Summer Baseball in Texas, but he too heard about the reputation of the league and the successful players that have already come through the Duluth Team. His Baylor coaches encouraged him to sign. He also saw pictures and read about the history of playing at Wade Stadium and is looking forward to it. We are looking forward to having you Beau, let's play ball!!
