Kemps To Bring Back Gingerbread Ice Cream Sandwiches For The Holidays
Kemps Foods which is based out of St. Paul makes a huge variety of delicious items from ice cream to cottage cheese and apparently one of their seasonal items is actually so popular it has it's own fan facebook page. I am not kidding the Bring back the Kemps Gingerbread Ice Cream Sandwich page has over 1,400 likes .
I am a huge fan of mostly all the products KEMPS makes especially ice cream sandwiches and I love ginger bread, so I would definitely try these out. According to Bring Me The News the product should be available soon at stores throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, including Cub, Walmart and Hy-Vee. The company will also introduce a variety of new egg nog flavors, which I will take a hard pass on, but thanks anyway.
Kemps spokesperson Rachel Kyllo said in a statement:
Customers have literally been begging us to bring back the Gingerbread Men Ice Cream Sandwiches for years, and we can’t think of a better time than 2020 to reintroduce these treats, as we all could use a little extra joy this year!
I am not sure when these frozen treats first hit store shelves, the company itself has been around since 1914, but I am sure ice cram sandwiches were not invented until much later. To whoever invented them in general I personally want to say Thank You so much, they are delicious. These gingerbread ones only come 4 to a box, so I am pretty sure most people will buy more than one box at a time. Stay tuned as I try to track these down and Cooper and I will give them a taste test on our Morning Show.
