MNDOT Plans Updates For Duluth’s Twin Ports Interchange Project
It might be the middle of March but work is full speed ahead within the work zone of the Twin Ports Interchange Project along the I-35 corridor in the Twin Ports. In fact, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has worked all through winter, making great progress on the multi year project that will see an improved intersection area for what Northlanders refer to as the Can of Worms.
Recently, the first of the large 7-foot tall beams have started making their appearance at the site. Large trucks and cranes have been off loading the support pieces and stacking them in place so that they're ready for when they're needed.
And - as the season changes and we get set for spring and the eventual summer road construction season, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is getting ready to provide updates on the work and the upcoming schedule.
They've planned a virtual public update meeting for Monday, March 28. The session will start at 12:15 PM. During the meeting, MNDOT officials will provide updates, present information, and answer questions as they come up.
If you want to take part in the meeting, click on the link that's available on the MNDOT website. In addition - if you don't have access to the internet - you can join the meeting by telephone by calling 855-282-6330 and entering the access code 2480 163 2297. After the meeting is finished, a recording will be made available by the Minnesota Department of Transportation for viewing on the website at the convenience of the general public.
Because MNDOT aims to make the meeting accessible to everyone, they have a variety of participation assistance methods available. If you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation (say in braille or large print), contact Janet Miller in advance ta 651-366-4720.
