St. Louis Country officials have announced a suspension of all inmate visitation by the public to the county jail until further notice in response to the spread of COVID-19. The suspension is being put in place to protect both people in the jail, as well as staff members.

In a release from the county, officials explained that staff are working to allow an additional small amount of phone time for anyone who has been incarcerated for seven or more days. Anyone wishing to set up or purchase a phone card for an inmate at the jail can do so via reliancetelephone.com.

This suspension does not apply to attorneys or other professionals needing to visit a client in the jail. It is only for the general public.
