The border between our closest neighboring country will remain closed.

Today the United States and Canada agreed to extend the closing of the border between the two countries until at least September 21st. This closure only affects non-essential travel between the two nations.

Canda said in a press release, "This continued agreement with our American partners will protect the health and safety of people on both sides of the border, while ensuring the flow of essential goods and services between our two countries."

The shutdown of all non-essential travel between the two countries has been in place since March 20th and was due to expire on August 20th. The two sides say the arrangement will be re-evaluated every 30 days.
