After a fun first year of an adult kickball league in Duluth, the league is coming back for another year with a few changes.

The city of Duluth's Parks & Rec announced last year that there will be a new adult kickball league. It started last fall and was a ton of fun. I had a team last year and the coolest part was playing in Wade Stadium. The league is coming back this fall and will have some new changes for this year's season.

I should warn you; if you haven't played since you were a kid, I would highly recommend some light training before playing. There were quite a few injuries on our team and other teams throughout the league. However, it was some of the most fun I had as adult playing in this league.

Every team captain from last year received an email about this year's rule changes and registration. Here are the changes:

  • Instead of playing some games in Wade Stadium, all games will be played on Wade softball fields 6 or 7.
  • There will be two different divisions this year: Competitive and Recreation.
  • The team fee last year was $200, this year it will be $150.
  • Ump fees have increased to $12 per game from a team. With the reduced team cost, they have stated there is no increase for your costs after ump fees.
  • League will start on August 31st this year.
