Bayfront Blues Festival Canceled For 2020
According to a Press Release The Annual Bayfront Blues Festival has been canceled for this Year. The Festival has been rescheduled for August 13-15 2021. Members of Bayfront Blues Festival stated;
The global pandemic has been particularly devastating to the music, festival, and event industries. They have been thoroughly impacted by this virus and have come to a complete standstill. Once these businesses cautiously start to reopen, they will be operating at an extremely scaled back capacity. Tours will become financially unfeasible. Bands are hesitant to travel, especially our older blues artists who are more susceptible and concerned for their wellbeing. The safety of our festival community, musicians and staff is absolutely our top priority….
As with many events this year both big and small it is not a surprise that gatherings of this size are not feasible at this time. From vendors to sponsors who were at a crossroads if they could lend their support this year, the decision to cancel seems to be the only option.
For ticket holders per the Press Release " We will be suspending all ticket and VIP cash refund requests until June 1, 2021. After this date you will have until July 31, 2021 to decide if you want to use them, exchange them for the 2022 event, or request a refund check. A special form will be available on the website for exchanges or refunds at that time. Refund requests that we had already received in our office by Saturday, May 23 will still be honored and checks mailed on June 15."
