The Minnesota Vikings didn't end the season like they planned I'm sure, but there are some excellent pieces to build on moving forward including the team's star running back.
Dalvin Cook was selected to his second Pro Bowl this year and is now up for the NFL's FedEx Ground Player of the Year. Cook is up for the award with fellow RBs Derrick Henry from the Tennessee Titans and Alvin Kamara from the New Orleans Saints.
Cook amassed 1,557 rushing yards, which is a career-high for the second year running back and ranks him second in the NFL this season and third all-time in Minnesota Vikings history.
Cook rushed for 16 touchdowns, second highest in Minnesota Vikings history, and ranks second this season in the NFL. He also had eight games with at least 100 yards in the 2020 - 2021 season. The star running back can also catch the ball, Cook got 361 total receiving yards on 44 catches and punched into the end zone once.
