Our Northland Signature Golf Hole Tour continues this week - presented by Duluth Dodge, as we highlight the signature hole at courses on the 2022 Northland Golf Card.

What's a signature hole? It's that extra-memorable or unique hole that often stands as the "signature" element of the course. Whether a unique aspect to the green, an interesting hazard, spectacular view, or any number of other things, these usually are the holes golfers tell their buddies about after visiting a course.

This week, we visited Grand View Golf Links, just south of Duluth near where Midway Road crosses Interstate 35.

Grand View bills themselves as a "breeze to play" all while managing "the difficult double-task of challenging serious players while at the same time helping rookies relax." This is a great course for people of all skill levels, offering a generally open layout on the backside of Thompson Hill that presents some breathtaking views on the final holes of the course.

The management at Grand View have been making some improvements to the course, offering a longer first hole in recent years and making some other modifications and improvements on a handful of additional holes along the course. If you haven't played Grand View in a few years, it's definitely worth heading back to see what's new!

Grand View plays 2,708 yards from the tips, offering two par-three holes, six par-four holes, and one par-five along the course.

Anyone who has played Grand View likely has their 9th hole come to mind as an easy signature hole. With the changes the course has made lately, it wasn't as clean-cut for us to declare our signature hole for this course. Check out our video, highlighting the signature hole(s) below!
