It can sound a little confusing talking about a fall sports schedule for the spring, but that's where COVID-19 has left us. Earlier this summer, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced that football, volleyball, and soccer would be postponed. Now they have released their plans for a spring schedule for these postponed sports.

Football will compete under a divisional model with a four game regular season schedule over 6 weeks with a potential crossover championship weekend. St. Scholasitca will participate in the "North" division along with Crown College, Martin Luther College, University of Minnesota Morris, and University of Northwestern. All teams will play a single round robin schedule with two games at home and two games on the road. The football season will begin on March 26th, 2021.

In both men and women's soccer, the teams will play in an eight-game round robin schedule over five weeks. All the teams will play in the postseason tournament. The UMAC soccer season begins on April 3 and will conclude on Saturday May 1.

As far as volleyball, the season will begin on Saturday, March 6 and will conclude Saturday April 3. Teams will play in an eight game single round robin format over five weeks.

UMAC has also set a date for the UMAC Men & Women's Golf Championship for April 29-May1.

Institutions are allowed to schedule non-conference games at their own discretion for the season during the spring semester. As always, UMAC will continue to monitor any changes with COVID-19. They will announce plans for golf and cross country at a later date.
