The Minnesota Vikings have promoted Klint Kubiak to the Offensive Coordinator position. Kubiak was previously a quarterback coach for the organization. Klint Kubiak will replace his father Gary Kubiak, as he retired this year. Klint was the favorite to take over the job, and it was even leaked during an interview with Justin Jefferson that Kubiak would have the job.

Others were interviewed by Minnesota for the Offensive Coordinator position. They had talked with New York Giants' wide receiver coach Tyke Tolbert this last week. According to the Star Tribune, there's a possibility that they may hire a senior offensive assistant for Kubiak. It would be much like how Gary Kubiak assisted Kevin Stefanski in his first year in the role. Stefanski left the Vikings as offensive coordinator to take on the head coaching job with The Cleveland Browns. Kevin Stefanski was with the Vikings as an assistant coach from 2006-2019. He has been named the NFL coach of the year for his best season ever by a first year head coach.

Marwan Maalouf's contract was up and they did not renew it. The Vikings promoted Ryan Ficken to Special Teams Coordinator.

Klint Kubiak has been popular among the players. He's been nicknamed Lil' Kub by some of the players. Coach Mike Zimmer has mentioned how he values continuity, and with Gary Kubiak retiring, there is some continuity in having his some replace him.
